Institutional Design, Inc. was founded in January 1984 by a group of food-service facilities designers, active in South Florida and Latin America. The principal and President of this corporation, Jose Ramon Gomez, FCSI, is a professional member of the Food Service Society International since 1982.

“Many architects and other designers use their services because of their skill in dealing with construction problems and their ability to meet project schedules. Institutional Design’s experience in dealing with all kinds of  Food Service projects, their knowledge of  how to apply new technology and their versatility to work anywhere in the world are indisputable benefits that all their clients have enjoyed for many years.

A brief partial list of projects successfully completed by Institutional Design includes the Grand Cayman Island Hospital, the Morumbi Hilton Hotel and Conference Center in Sao Paulo, Sheraton Starwood Hotels in Rio de Janeiro, Mendoza and Asuncion. Institutional Design recently completed: the Arakur Hotel in Ushuaia, Argentina and the Concorde Wyndham Hotel in Isla Margarita, Venezuela.
